About Me
Masters level Nutritional Therapist & Relational Gestalt Psychotherapist (in advanced training).
Hi, I’m Suzie Wylie. I’m a Masters-level Nutritional Therapist and currently completing year 4 training in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy. My work is rooted in understanding how the body and mind functions as an interconnected system, how physical and emotional patterns develop over time, and why symptoms can persist even when you’re “doing all the right things”.
At the core of my approach is nutritional therapy informed by functional medicine — supporting digestion, blood sugar balance, stress physiology, immune function and nervous system regulation. I work with people who feel stuck in repeating cycles, often because their body is holding the impact of long-term stress, toxicity, overwhelm or unresolved trauma.
Since 2010, I’ve supported people who sense there is more to life, yet feel stuck in a version of themselves that no longer feels aligned. Many come feeling frustrated by persistent symptoms — chronic health issues, fatigue, digestive issues, autoimmunity, mental health challenges, emotional reactivity, or difficulties in their relationship with food that don’t make sense on the surface. My role is to help you understand what your body is communicating, and to support you in working with it rather than against it.
You might notice that food becomes a way your system copes — through control, restriction, overeating or tuning out — often alongside physical symptoms or emotional overload. Rather than treating this as a problem to fix, we look at what it’s doing for you, and what your body may be asking for instead.
My personal journey
I understand what it feels like to be overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that don’t fully make sense. I’ve lived with anxiety, depression, burnout and long-standing digestive issues myself, and these experiences have given me a deep, embodied understanding of how closely emotional, psychological and physical health are linked.
My own healing journey is one of the reasons I work in an integrative, mind–body way. I know what it’s like to try to “fix” symptoms without addressing the underlying stress, pressure, beliefs and nervous system patterns that drive them.
Living and training as a professional Muay Thai fighter taught me resilience, discipline and presence under pressure. Returning to horses, one of my deepest passions, continues to teach me about regulation, relationship, boundaries and trust. I now live in a shepherd’s hut with my two dogs, my German Shepherd Kia and my wolf dog Loki, a way of living that keeps me closely connected to nature, rhythm and nervous system regulation.
All of these experiences shape how I work with clients: grounded, relational, trauma-aware and respectful of your pace. I don’t believe in pushing through or forcing change. I believe in listening carefully to what your body and mind are communicating, and working with them rather than against them.
My mission
My mission is to support you in moving beyond old patterns and reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels grounded and authentic. Whether we work primarily through nutritional therapy or integrate psychotherapeutic support, the intention is the same — to help you feel more regulated, more aligned and better resourced to live your life.
My professional path
My background includes Nutritional Therapy, Functional Medicine, Eating Psychology, Holistic Lifestyle Coaching and Personal Training, alongside advanced training in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy. This gives me an integrative perspective that honours both your physical health and your emotional world.
I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), and I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I work to the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.
If you’re ready to explore what’s happening beneath the surface and want support that considers your body, your patterns and your lived experience, I’d be honoured to work with you.
