Personalised Gut, Hormonal and Autoimmune Nutrition Support from an Experienced Functional Practitioner

If you are reading this because your body feels confusing, unpredictable or constantly demanding your attention, I want you to know this first. You are not broken. Most of the people who find their way to my work do so after years of trying to make sense of symptoms that never quite resolve. Gut issues that keep returning. Hormonal shifts that affect mood and energy. Autoimmune conditions that feel relentless. Often there is a quiet sense of frustration or exhaustion underneath it all.

My name is Suzie, and I run Suzie Wylie Psychotherapy. I offer nutritional therapy online and in York, alongside relational psychotherapy. I work with people who want thoughtful, personalised support for their physical health and their emotional world, without pressure, judgement or one size fits all solutions.

Why nutritional therapy online needs to be personal

Nutritional therapy can be incredibly powerful when it is tailored to you. Not just your symptoms, but your history, your nervous system, your lifestyle and your relationship with food and your body.

When I work with clients through nutritional therapy online, we slow things down. We look at what is happening in your gut, your hormones, your immune system and your stress response, but we do it in a way that feels manageable and human. There is no rigid protocol. No overwhelm. Just steady, collaborative exploration.

As a functional medicine practitioner and registered nutritional therapist, I use evidence informed nutrition to support digestion, gut health, energy levels, sleep, hormonal balance and autoimmune conditions. This might include gut health nutritional therapy, hormonal health nutrition or nutrition support for immune balance. But it always starts with listening.

The psychotherapeutic lens that makes this work different

Alongside nutritional therapy, I bring a relational, psychotherapeutic lens to our work. This means we also pay attention to emotional patterns, internal narratives and relational experiences that shape how your body responds to life.

Many people I support have spent years pushing through stress, ignoring their needs or feeling disconnected from their bodies. These patterns matter. They influence digestion, inflammation, hormones and how safe your nervous system feels day to day.

As a relational Gestalt psychotherapist (in advanced training) in York, I offer space to explore this gently. We notice what happens internally. We become curious about old patterns that still show up in present health challenges. The aim is never to fix you, but to build awareness, capacity and trust in your own system.

Supporting gut health, hormones and autoimmune conditions together

Your gut, hormones, immune system and nervous system are in constant conversation with each other. Supporting one without acknowledging the others often leads to frustration.

As a gut health nutritionist, I work with clients experiencing bloating, IBS type symptoms, food sensitivities, low energy and chronic stress. I also support people navigating hormonal transitions, autoimmune conditions and long-standing inflammatory patterns.

Our work may include practical nutritional guidance, lifestyle support and nervous system regulation, alongside psychotherapy that helps you understand how emotional and relational patterns impact physical health. Everything is paced and tailored to you.

An integrative background that honours the whole person

My background includes Nutritional Therapy, Functional Medicine, Eating Psychology, Holistic Lifestyle Coaching and Personal Training, alongside psychotherapy training. This integrative perspective allows me to hold both the physical and emotional aspects of health without prioritising one over the other.

I am registered with UKCP as a psychotherapist and work as a functional medicine practitioner and registered nutritional therapist. I provide nutritional therapy online and in York, supporting clients wherever they are based.

If you are considering working together

If you are tired of feeling like you have to choose between your physical health and your emotional wellbeing, you do not have to. You deserve support that sees you as a whole person, not a collection of symptoms.

If my way of working resonates with you, I would love to support you. You can explore working with me through nutritional therapy online or in person in York, with care, curiosity and respect for your unique system.

You are not behind. You are not failing. Your body has been doing its best to communicate with you, and together we can learn how to listen.

If you would like to take the next step, you can get in touch through Suzie Wylie Psychotherapy to explore how we might work together.
